The Group of Young Entrepreneurs of Federalimentare (GIF) is a group of under-40 entrepreneurs established by Federalimentare in 2003: its mission is promoting initiatives aimed at raising awareness of and increasing knowledge of the political, social, economic, and technological issues facing the Italian food and beverage industry.
This is an effective, driven group that aims to instill in its members a sense of responsibility for their social and ethical roles as well as a spirit of cooperation and free initiative, which is the primary expression of entrepreneurship.
COMPOSITION AND REGULATION
The President, the Central Council, and the National Council make up the Group of Young Entrepreneurs of Federalimentare.
The Central Council has managerial duties and consists of:

- 8 Advisers:
- Mr. PAOLO DALLA GIOVANNA – Molini Dallagiovanna (milling – ITALMOPA)
- Ms. FRANCESCA PANCRAZIO – Pancrazio SpA (canned vegetables – ANICAV)
- Ms. CATERINA BORGIOLI – Molino Borgioli SpA (semolina and flours – ITALMOPA)
- Ms. GIULIA LEONARDI – Igor Srl (dairy – ASSOLATTE)
- Mr. ANTONIO ZANETTI – Zanetti SpA (dairy – ASSOLATTE)
- Mr. FABIO MACRÌ – Fabbri 1905 SpA (ingredients for gelato, pastry and beverage – UNIONFOOD)
- Ms. MARTINA GALTIERI – Specialmangimi Galtieri SpA (animal feed – ASSALZOO)
The National Council is composed of delegates appointed by Federalimentare Associations.
Regulations, which were created in 2003 and revised in 2017, as well as the ethical code, set forth the activities and tasks of the Group.
PRIORITIES AND MAIN OBJECTIVES
The Group of Young Entrepreneurs of Federalimentare commits considerable amount of effort into achieving these goals:
- Encourage the Group’s aggregation to advance Made In Italy global reputation of excellence.
- Organize training sessions for Members, such as company visits, to improve skills and keep entrepreneurs informed about emerging trends.
- Schedule regular meetings to deepen and organize events and activities that would be of interests for entrepreneurs.
- Plan opportunities for discussions and thematic workshops with all the important stakeholders of the agrifood supply-chain.
- Encourage dialogue among other Young Entrepreneurs Groups from different industries, such as, agriculture, fashion and furniture.
