LIKE-A-PRO<\/strong>, funded under the Horizon Europe Framework Programme<\/strong>, is a project that aims to promote the adoption of healthier and more sustainable dietary habits by encouraging the consumption of foods based on alternative proteins and making these products more accessible to everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More specifically, the project seeks to develop 16 new alternative protein products<\/strong>, actively involving more than 24,000 citizens and stakeholders<\/strong> in the co-design process and in identifying innovative solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are alternative proteins?<\/strong> Alternative proteins are proteins derived from plants, animal cells, or fermentation processes. They offer the same or a similar taste experience as animal-based proteins while providing comparable nutritional and protein content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A total of 41 partners<\/strong>, including Federalimentare<\/strong>, from 17 countries<\/strong> (including three non-EU countries) are participating in LIKE-A-PRO. Together, they share the ambitious goal of transforming the way consumers perceive and adopt alternative protein sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
